Hi, I am fairly new to the list and am looking for the ancestors (especially parents) of Hezekiah Jennings, b. in VA or NC about 1775 and married to Sarah Johnston. He died in 1806. I connect to Hezekiah through their son, Anderson Jennings. I am also trying to figure out how all the early Jennings (born mostly in the 1700s) in Claiborne link up - Hezekiah, Royal, Obediah, Edward Ned, Robert, Joseph (on lots of deeds), John Sterling and William(on the early deeds), Dickerson and Isham, to name a few. :) I am also directly related to John Sterling and know his descendants. I am also looking for a Betsy Webster, whose daughter married an early Lebow (Jack). This family of Jennings was supposed to be the earliest to arrive in Claiborne County, along with the Lebows. Did any of these Jennings come in from Wilson County as well? Did any of them leave for Warren County? Or Kentucky? Anyway, anyone want to share their theories? Thanks. Ann Hill At any rate, it seems to be a lifetime puzzle - and each little clue makes it all the more interesting.
