I am searching for any scrap of information about: Joseph DOUGLAS b abt 1735 m Sarah BERRYMAN m 2 Margaret STROUD. Joseph came to Grainer County before 1785 where he died in 1808. Joseph left a will (1808) naming his children as Sarah, John, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, William, Berryman (b 1785 in Grainger Co., Catherine, and Younger and others. Berryman DOUGLAS, I believe is my ggg grandfather. He married Susannah BAILES in Grainger County. To the best of my knowledge they had two children: Bryant DOUGLAS and an Unknown DOUGLAS. Susannah died before 1820 either before or just after Berryman moved to Rutherford County. Berryman DOUGLAS then married Polly MAXWELL. Berryman's sister Catherine DOUGLAS was also born in Grainger County abt 1786 m James FEARS. I would appreciate any help anyone can offer on this family.
