Jim, I show John Aledander Roach b. 28 Jun 1854 Grainger Co. TN, d. 26 Dec 1915 Rutledge, grainger Co. TN. He is of the William S. Roach line. William S. was the brother of my gg-gfthr, Absalom Roach, married Melvina Jane Cardwell. William S. md. Keziah Elizabeth Helton 28 August 1846 Grainger Co. TN. He was born 22 Jan 1822 Grainger Co. TN, d. 4 Apr 1891 in Lockhart, Caldwell Co. TX. Although Absalom, other Roches and the Cardwell clan arrived in TX 31 Dec 1850, William S. did not come until some years later, bringing with him some of his children and grandchildren. John Alexander married Sintha/Syntha Eveline Fralix ca 1875. She was born 1 Jan 1859 TN, d. 37 March 1901, the daughter of Elijah Fralix and Mary Jones. He married 2) Hattie Biddle, b. 1889 and d. 1971. John Alexander and Sintha/Syntha had 8 children. John Alexander and Hattie Biddle had: Ethel J. Roach, b. 1904, d. 1985, md. James Holt; Effie Roach; Wade Hansford Roach; John Roach. I have no other info on these offspring. By blind copy, I am forwarding this to another Roach researcher and cousin whose line this is.
