William, Since you mentioned the NANCE surname.... I just have to ask...<GBG> Would you happen to have info on this NANCE/TRAVIS marriage? >From the book "Hamblin Co., Marriages,: Marriage Book 1-2" ** "On page 492 of the original records, Caloway Roberts issued a liscense Jan. 12, 1882 to William NANCE and Martha A. TRAVIS who were married Jan. 12, 1882 by I.C. Hodge, JP." I also have... Bondsman H. Potter issed liscense on Nov. 19, 1878 to W.J. POTTER and Martha A. TRAVIS who were married Nov. 28, 1878 by John Lawrence, MG. This info found on page 164 of the original records. I have no idea if these two Mary A. TRAVIS women were one and the same or not. Seems that all my TRAVIS' named their children the same names over and over again. Could be one of these Mary's is a cousin of the other???? Could be the first marriage was a "no" return? Aany information GREATLY appreciated. Thanks....Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: WILLIAM OWENS <WJOWENS@worldnet.att.net> To: <TNGRAING-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 08, 2000 4:41 PM Subject: Re: [TNGRAING-L] Roll Call > Hi Jessie > > My Owens descendents from Grainger County Tennessee between 1830's to > 1880's married into the Roach and Mallicoat lines.
