Virginia, have you checked Sullivan County? The LDS records indicate your Isaac b. Jan 1783 Sullivan Co. Tn. The individual summary notes I sent you indicate that John's brothers stayed in Sullivan County, with the exception of George. "John Valentine Beeler migrated to Grainger County about 1797 as did several of his children. His brothers Jacob, Joseph and Ulrich stayed in Sullivan County where all three died. His brother George settled in Claiborne County, TN." You can check the LDS records at: http://www.familysearch.org Then do a search for Isaac Beeler. Yours is listed within the IGI. I have a Delphia Dalton born c 06/12/1850 who married James Hamilton McAnally / McAnary, would anyone know her parents and correct spelling of husband's name and any parent information? I have a Lidda Dalton born c 1854 who married Thomas Harville, son of Reuben Wesley Harville and Mary Jordan. Would anyone know Lidda's parents and a better birthdate? Good luck. Virginia - you have quite a chore ahead of you! Out of the 4 attempts I have made to get erroneous data on other's web sites, only one was truly apologetic and agreed to correct it as soon as he could, one woman was almost insulted that I should question her information but reluctantly agreed she would change it (I am sure she won't, and she called herself a "professional" genealogist), and 2 never bothered to answer. There really is a tremendous amount of incorrect material out there, simply because people "latch onto" what someone else has put there, then call it their own without ever bothering to check to see if it is right - so the problem is compounded, But, good luck with your efforts! Jan, Thank you. There are those who have listed an Isaac born 1775 for this couple. I have an Isaac born 1783 and someone took him and gave him the birth date of 1775 and linked him to John V. Since my Isaac born 1783 was alive until 1872 he would have been listed as an heir to this Beeler couple. So I am now trying to figure out what to do about all the erronous data out there on the web. Sheri, I have that William A. (Austin) Shockley (1863-1919) married Harriet (Hattie) Shockley (1859-1940) 4 August 1882 in Grainger Co., Tn. William is son of William Shockley and Louisa Coffey and Hattie is dau of Enos Shockley and Mahaly Coffey.
