Hi Grp, I think there has been a mistake made (Again) on Jasper Newton Roach b: 1862, being the son of Jasper N. Roach born 1842....S/O John & Sarah.... on the 1870 Grainger Co TN census pg 71 I see a J.N. Roach 26, farmer with no real estate & $170 personal....Amanda 26,.. S.F. 4 (f)....Manard -(m) 2, M.E. 3/12 (f) all born TN... they had no Jasper N. I think everyone just assumed the Jasper Newton Roach b:ca 1862 must be his son....I don't see them in 1880...... anyone have evidence to the contrary? Thanks, Sharon

Roach.b:ca 1835 also S/O John and Sarah....who first md 1854 Elizabeth Hancock and had 1 -dau Martha Jane, then Eliz must have died, as John A. md 1859 to Amanda Dyer...and had Jasper Newton Roach....born ca 1862.....John A.
