2. A few questions for anyone who might know the answers: QUESTIONS: 1. Robert MONROE, B. 1763 in Lunensberg, VA, Mar Rosanne PUCKETT on 4 Dec. 1786. According to the census, etc., there were three children in the family before 1786, George William, B. 1782, Elizabeth B. 5 Dec. 1784 and John BC. 1786. Were these children from a first marriage of Robert's,or Rosannah's or were they nieces and nephews of deceased siblings that they adopted? They had 9 children who intermarried with the PETERS,ADKINS, WYRICK, KITTS and BURNETT families 2. Who were the parents of Lewis ADKINS, B. 5 May 1785 (Grainger or Pittsylvania, VA. ) Lewis married 24 Jan 1804 to Elizabeth MONROE. They had 10 children who intermarried with the BURNETT, MULLENS, PHIPPS, NEEDHAM, HILL, HUBBS families 3. Who were the parents of Pherebe (Fereby, Phoebe) HILL B. 17 June 1816 in Grainger. Mar 1 Feb. 1838 to Robert (Robin) ADKINS, (child of Lewis and Eliz MONROE ADKINS.) They had 11 children, who intermarried with the VANDERGRIFF,MONROE, and ATKINS families. I have most of the spouses of these children and will gladly share. If I don't have them, I know of several MONROE and ADKINS searchers who will be glad to share info. We all need the answers to the above questions. Good HUnting and Happy Holidays. Earlene Hutsell

There are some BREWERs, SPRAKERs, other MC KINNEYs and others in that cemetery. The location is on the opposite side of the Clinch Mountain from Rutledge. Black Fox Hollow Road runs from Hogskin Valley near the new Baptist Church to near the Black Fox community in Union Co in the vicinity of Pennington Chapel. Henry Patton and Sidney E. McKinney THOMAS' ancestors are found in VA. Most of their descendants are found in Union County, TN where they settled after being totally disrupted and splintered by the Civil War. Henry died 1871. 2. Added households -- and census info for group who lived near the head of Martin's Creek and near the head of Yellow Creek and near to Hardy Creek. Roughly off of old 58 between Rose Hill and Henegartown in Lee County Virginia. That is a good looking area, topographically, for farming. Probably it is an area that was granted to the Fulkersons or other pioneers. Partial 1850 Lee Co VA Census http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~tnwash/1850LeeC.html Lonnie
