    3. I am collecting and making a list of burials in the Biles/Potts Cemetery. I have already started a list and have quite a few (85) from various sources. I am trying to collect information on these burials. If anyone knows of any burials in this cemetery or has any information on them, please contact me. I'm basically interested in birth and death dates-parents, siblings. I will accept any information, but what I don't use, I will place in the Vertical Files in the Giles County Historical Society Genealogy Room which is located in the Giles County Library. Several names associated with this cemetery are: Tate/Hasting/Biles/Powers/Chapman/Potts/Sanders/Nelson/Graves/Brownlow/Watson If anyone has an info on the beginning of the cemetery--earliest known recorded burial was in 1856--probably not the first burial, as I have seen info where some think that Stephen Biles and his wife may be buried there. They died 1846 and 1843 respectively. I want to gather this information and place in the G.C.H.S. Genealogy Room and to submit in their publication--the Bulletin. Also, will list them on this forum later. You can contact on this list or e-mail me at: sandking@usit.net You can also contact the Giles County Historical Society, P.O. 3. Judy, I have several burials for Biles-Potts Cemetery in my database. In less than 10 minutes I will be off line for a day or two while Verizon installs FIoS. The wiring in our house is old and some of it may have to be upgraded. Once Verizon and/or electrician completes these tasks I'll be back on line. I'll gladly share any information I have about burials in Biles-Potts. From interviewing members of Hastings and Nelson families I seem to recall that I have knowledge of burials of some unmarked graves of some babies. I know of at least one person (Hastings-Nelson desc.) who was buried in Biles-Potts but, in the last 20 years or so, her remains were moved to Maplewood. Judy, my email address will be changing. I have no idea what it will be. I believe I should be able to use current email address for approximately 30 more days.
