    3. I have a long list of Smith's in my family tree from Giles ,Lawrence and Maury Counties, but I don't recognize any of the names you mentioned,my line starts at 1860 and moves forward. Contact the Lawrence county archives at (lcarchives@lorettotell.net). Kathy may have some one on file researching Your Smith family.Mine line is John Harrison Smith b 1860 married Elizabeth Jane Shay. (His name could have been Patrick or Payton) He was born probably around 1890. I have a beautiful picture that was my grandmother's of a young man and woman, probably their wedding picture. On the back is written "Pate and Ollie Smith". The pic. was taken at Berry's studio, Grant Street, New Decature, AL. Pate looks to be about 20 and Ollie ca. 17.
