Dear List; I am researching my ancestor John Vining of Lincoln Co., TN. He was born 1825 and died in 1890 in Lincoln Co., TN. His obituary says that he died at his home near Macedonia, 11 miles of town, and was buried at Bethesda, the State Line Church. The obituary was in the Fayetteville Observer of Lincoln Co. However, the Lincoln Co., Genealogy Society says that Bethesda, State Line Church does not exist in Lincoln Co. I also tried Madison Co., AL. with no luck. Does anyone know if this Church existed in Giles Co. and if so, does it have a cemetery? Cyndy _____ I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. Don't know if this church existed in Giles County but accoring to the 1986 Cemetery Records Book for Giles County there is a listing for Bethesda Cemetery as states as location: Highway 31 S, left at Ephesus Church into Hardy Road, cemetery on right, across from church. I did not find a listing for a John Vining buried there but if no stone there is probably no listing. Try Limestone County AL near Ardmore which is almost on the AL/TN State Line. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cynthia" <cydean@cox.net> To: <TNGILES@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2008 2:29 PM Subject: [TNGILES] BETHESDA METHODIST CHURCH > Dear List; > > I am researching my ancestor John Vining of Lincoln Co., TN.
