I found a marriage listed in Giles County for Rebecca Howell and Henry Long on July 2, 1865. There is a Rebecca Howell, daughter of John Alex Howell and Eliza LNU born 1844, listed on 1850 census District 4, Giles County, Tennessee. Does anyone know if this is the same Rebecca Howell and if so, who is Henry Long ? Robbie, You ask about William Henry Long and wife Louisa C Long in the 1910 Limestone Ala. census. Yes, this William H. is the son of Nicholas Long and Jane Browning. They had two sons: William Henry, Jr. and Denpsey. William Henry Long was previously married and had children but I do not have that information down. Louisa Caroline was the youngest child of John Marbut and Anna Thomas. She was first married to her cousin James F. Thomas, son of David Thomas. James F. died in the war of the states. She was left with three children: Columbus Lafayette (my grandfather), David Silas Wilbur and Jim Betty. William H. and Louisa C. married 19 Aug. 1869.
