These folks (with the possible exception of the Foxes) were all descendants of William (M.?) THOMPSON who died "in Tennessee or Alabama" 25 Dec 1840. A distant cousin says that William "bounced back & forth" between Lauderdale Co., AL and Giles/Lawrence Cos., TN, so I thought this might be his final resting place since 2 of his grandsons, Levi & J.W. (Josiah Wesley) are. I am a descendant of William & Margaret JACK(S)' youngest daughter, Nancy, who married Hardy MATTHEWS in 1827 in Lauderdale Co.
