Robbie, I have information on a Matilda Caroline Gooch who had a sister named Marilla (her middle name not being Caroline). But neither one of these ladies married a Long. Matilda Caroline married James White and Marilla married Jeremiah "Jerry" Barnes. These sisters were born in 1800 and 1802 respectfully. I don't know if this helps you any, but if you do have a connection to the Gooch family in Giles Co. I would be interested in comparing notes with you on this family.
