I find this Long-Marbut connection interesting... My Peterson McGill, b. abt 1816, married a Mahala Long about 1836. The couple appear to have resided as of the 1840 census near Mt. Zion Church, on the Giles/Lawrence line. After Mahala's death (about 1849), Peterson married Eodus Everline (Oda) Marbut. daughter of John Marbut, Jr. Jim On Tue, 22 Jun 1999, Minnie HILLIS REAGOR wrote: > Robbie, > The entry means that it was his only marriage (to date), and he had been married > for 27 years.... > __Minnie > > > Rick Graham wrote: > > > Robbie, > > > > In my records I have a Washington Alfred Long b. abt. 1812 in Giles County who > > married a Patsy Martha Marbut; a > > Birdie Long who married a Allen Thomas Gray; and a James Long who married Ena > > Bell Townsend. > > Maybe someone can help us with this Long Family? > > > > Rick Graham > > > > Angel12461@aol.com wrote: > > > > > Hello List Members, > > > Thought I would post this new info that a very nice person sent to me in high > > > hopes that maybe someone can shed some light on one of my many brick walls. > > > My great-grandfather Daniel Long married Sarah J.
