Subject: Re: [TNGILES-L] The wolf eats the lion Maybe Ancestry Com will let us know where they have aquirred all of their Genealogy that they have in there pay be month or etc for memebership , and if they sell C D's from their collection . I can see a lot of it is from extracted and otherwise fam Gr sheets and censu/ vital's court records. I don't know as I haven't come across anything for my family unless. I haven't seen any data bases or generations of gen just name here and there when asked. The records alos come from War's lists/ etc. Maybe someone would like to present this question to them. From what i have seen on Ancestry Com since jan. looks alright to me. I will ahve to get in and go to other sites they have for imfo i haven't been to. I can see a concern by you but I don't think at this time i have the same concern. I am a Rootsweb contributor, and I was not aware that talks were going on between MyFamily.com and Rootsweb. Nothing is changing, we are assured; and I have no doubt that is true in the short run. However, I cannot believe that it will be true in the long run. The transcriptions that Rootsweb members contribute are identical in some cases with the databases posted on Ancestry.com. In the future, what will happen when Rootsweb wants to post something for free that Ancestry makes available for a payment?
