Greetings - I noticed on the Family Search site from the LDS, there seemed to be a number of Thurmans who had Giles marriage dates 1868-1882. I figured I 'd take a shot and see if any descendants were a part of this list. My interest - I am trying to find info on my GGGGrandmother Angeline BALL, who was married to Robert Armstrong HEWITT Jr. I know in a 1860 census, she is listed with R. A. , along with a 15 yr old James HARRISON (and I have an Angeline BALL maried to JW HARRISON in Davidson in 1843, so that matches up.) I cannot find any reference to her marriage to HEWITT. He was captured at Ft Donelson, and died a POW at Camp Morton, IN. This is where the THURMANs come in - Angeline HEWITT married W.R. THURMAN in 1871 in Giles. I know absolutely nothing about Angeline. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks for your time and assistance, Joe Flowers
