James, I a descendant of James H. Taylor born in 1817 in TN. He married Lucy Ann Phillips born in 1818 in VA. They were married in Giles Co., in 1834 and had the following children: Olivia A., David, Robert, Mary E., Eliza J., John J. and Zachary. They were living in Giles Co. TN in the 1850 Census, but by 1860 they had left, and they don't show up again until the 1870 Census in Henry Co. TN. Then my search led me to Massac Co., IL, because one of the sons John J. Taylor married David F. Walker and Lucinda Pruitt's daughter Indiana there in 1879. Their marriage certificate says that John was from Johnson Co. IL. I noticed that several Taylor families lived nearby the Walker's, in Massac Co., IL. There was also a William H. Walker living nearby, probably David's brother. I an trying to figure out if my Taylors and Walkers are related to the ones in Massac Co. and Johnson Co., or the ones in Giles Co., TN., or both. Debra James H.
