I have recently connected with a family member who is in possession of the notes made by the great granddaughter of Robert CROWDER, b 1778 Laurens Co SC. She remembers her grandparents quite well, Bluford A. CROWDER (son of Robert) and Jane Eveline TIDWELL. In fact, her parents assumed responsibility for their homestead, and they lived with her family throughout childhood. While she does not shed further light on Robert CROWDER or his wife(s), she certainly had additional info regarding the lives of Bluford and his wife. Additionally, I have quite by accident found the son of John CROWDER (b 1806 - an older son of Robert) in Howell Co MO, and can offer census data and other details of his life to anyone who is interested in the John CROWDER branch. This son is John W. CROWDER, b May 1847 TN. I would like to establish whether Robert CROWDER was married once or twice, and whether John CROWDER (1806) is a full or half brother to Bluford A. CROWDER (1825 TN).
