I am trying to connect my grgrandmother, Ann E. (Babe) Elgar to the family of Philander Elgar in Tishomingo Co, MS. She was born in 1853 and was orphaned by 1860 when, according to family lore, she went to TN to live with an aunt. She married in 1873 in Giles Co. TN to William Franklin Belue. I haven't ever been able to definately connect her to any family, but feel strongly that she is the daughter of Philander and Nancy Ann Gilman. If anyone has any info on either the Belues or Elgars, especially who the aunt may be, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Frances Webb fwebb@cei.net
