I'm writing to a living HEREFORD in California to clarify Ann Minitree's parents' dates below --they're not right--IF they are her parents. CONSIDER THIS---- Ann or Frances Ann MINITREE born about 1740 in Charles Co. MD, died after 1833 in Franklin Co. TN. She was the daughter (some think) of Jacob Andrew MINITREE who died about 1760 in Charles Co. MD and Rosamond HOLLAND born about ?1742?. Ann married in about 1760 Henry HEREFORD (sr), son of John HEREFORD and Jane BARNES. There are still HEREFORDs in Franklin and Lincoln counties. I found G.W. Menatree witnessed Julia A. McCRACKEN's will in Lincoln County where she left "all property of every kind" to R.S. and M.E. HEREFORD. Probated Sept 5, 1908. J. L. BARNES of Pulaski, Giles Co. TN. I'm wondering if our OLD David MINITREE might have come to middle Tennessee because of his familial relationship to Ann above. Do ANY of you know a particular reason that brought him to finally settle in Giles County except wanderlust? I found this group of Maryland MINITREE searchers through Fleetwood JONES a descendant of Minitree (first name) JONES. It never ends. Write me if you care to discuss.
