In response to Myra Piland's query of Ashbury Academy. Where did they get married? This would be the first place I would check for the Academy in question. There were other chartered Female Academy's in Giles County. Sixteenth District towards Millville has a church named Ash Gap, also Goodspeed (http://www.rootsweb.com/~tngiles/goodspd/schools.htm), has a small listing of the chartered schools for male and female genders and where they were: Lynnville, Prospect, Elkton, Aspin Hill.
