Kathleen, I'm not researching KINGs, but did a lookup for you in the Census Indexes... 1840: There was no listings for a Garrison KING - anywhere! But there was a listing for a "Gary" KING... perhaps he went by "Gary"? This listing was in Barbour Co,AL., Page 76. 1850: There was one Garrison KING listed in Middle District, Dickson Co,TN., Page 54. 1860: I found no listing for a Garrison or Gary KING anywhere, which may relate to the Garrison KING that died in 1853, per the former message received... perhaps it was the same person...?
