I need help to solve a mistery of my missing gggrandfather John L. Hardy b. 1810 d. 1884 in Giles TN. I have a church record that gives John's death date. John's wife Martha is buried in Good Billy Brown Cemetery but he is not. I was told he is buried in the Case Cemetery with his father Coleman and mother Lucy but he is not lised in the Giles cemetery book. I have a service record that shows a John L. Hardy enlisting in Co. K, 1 Reg Tennessee in 1861 but John is not listed in the recent roster of the company on the web page. My record shows him becomming an Ensign in 1864 in 1 Reg TN Infantry. I would really like to find John's grave and any information about his military service but he doesn't seem to show up anywhere. Has anyone seen John? Any help will be appreciated.
