Virginia, Do you think that the John Gordon who witnessed the Harrison Burgess will could have been John Gordon, Major b. August 08, 1798 in Kentucky, d. September 30, 1890 in Giles Co., Tennessee? He had a son, John C. Gordon but I don't know much about him. Sorry I don't have any Burgess surnames as yet.
