I assume you mean Birth-Marriage-Death records? I have been researching for 30 yrs and I have never failed to get a record, providing it existed, in a prompt manner. I just write that I would like X for John Doe and I am enclosing (usually) $1.00 to cover the cost of copying and a SASE. Thank you very much. If they have it they send it right along. Now I do have the one exception, Selma, Ala kept my ck and never answered but as it turned out the marriage was not there anyway! Always send to the County Clerk at the County seat. Good luck, Carleen
