They are on the 1840 Giles Co., Tenn. Census with their family. S. SMITH is assumed to have died by the 1850 Giles Co., Tenn. Census, but Liticia (maiden name unknown) SMITH (age 50 in 1850) is listed with her SMITH children: Caroline age 22 Catharine age 17 William B. age 15 John H. age 12 Daniel W. age 11 Living nearby: Their daughter E. E. (Elmira or Evelyn Elizabeth SMITH, age 24 in 1850) married John PILLOW about 1850. Their daughter Mary Jane SMITH married William J. BRADLEY about 1848. Any help greatly appreciated.
