Per the Book "The Browning Family History, David C. Browning and His Descendants, 1782-1990)" The history of Giles County indicates that some of the first settlers in the Shoal Creek area were Reuben RIggs and James Paisley, both of whom were mentioned later in Browning land records. The first church erected there was the Shoal Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 1818, on Paisley's land. History indicates that four Browning families lived in this area in 1818. It is believed that David Browning's family belonged to the Cumerland Presbyterian Church at Shoal Creek. I know that the Paisley's & Brownings lived at or near Stella Tennessee. This is the group that I tried for about 5 years to prove that I descended from. The book mentioned above also has a lot of Long's listed in it, but I did not see a Sarah. This family is connected to the Nicholas Browning and Nicholas Long (neighbors) in the 1850 census of Limestone County, AL. --part0_902236053_boundary--
