There are many photos and items being auctioned that have histories and identifications with them. Following is just some of what I found. You can view the items by going to http://www.ebay.com and clicking on search and typing in the number. 25353529_is a photo of Albert Stackpole of the 6th Mass Volunteers,Co.G.infantry with original discharge paper. He was b:Phillipburg, NY. 25443482_ this is photo of Cpt.Frank Henton wounded in head at Village Creek, AR. Started military service as pvt.9th Illinois Cav, then Co.E.9th Reg.Ill Cav and to Co.F. 12th Reg.IN infantry and to 128th Indiana where wounded and died. comes with full set of archival papers. 25451224, photo: Capt.Fred Rice. 31st Mass Vol. Co.D, entered service at 1st Lt.,Feb.1862, made Capt.Oct.1863 and Major June 1865. comes with copies of service records. 25452355, photo:Gen. Robert Anderson, defended Fort Sumpter, a hero. 25494751, Tintype and Bible with obit of young girl named as Fannie Jones, daughter of Calvin and Ella Jones of Lafayette, Upshur Co.TX,she died 22 Sept.1880, age 4yr.11mo.6days. Photo of soldier not identified. These were his belongings. 25592406, Photo, Lt.Col. Wm.McLwaine or Wm. M.L'Haine. wounded at Cold Harbor, VA. June 3,1864 d:june 6,1864. 25905335, Confederate knife & sheath with name on leather strap, J.E.Howell, Co.E, 8th LA.I. 25922598, photo: Union Soldier Sgt.Marcus Pelham, has his name of back and says photo belongs to George Smith. other family names mentioned. I could not see them all. 26098080, Confederate pistol and holster with names engraved on handle: Gen. J.C.Moore..CSA..John Creed Moore who organized the 2nd TX.infantry, registered at Galveston. These are precious historical and ancestreal pieces being sold to the highest bidder and family historians need to be made aware to check the ebay listings for items. I am sure if I checked under the heading of just old photos or tintypes..I would find the same things with identifications. Can you get the word out?
