Mattie Young and the last five are minors as were the BUCHANAN'S and appear by the said Spencer Young as their next friend, Jesse F. Abernathy, Sallie Abernathy, also minors, and appear by the said Spencer Young as their friend and Mary Buchanan vs William Abernathy , Clayton Abernathy of Giles Co TN, William D. Smith of Lincoln Co TN and B. H. Peden, Complainants would show to the Court that John Abernathy died in the month of Mar 1861, intestate. He left surviving his widow , Catherine, and several children and grandchildren.After the death of John Abernathy, his widow, Catherine died and Complainants and defendants except B.H. Peden were the only heirs of the intestate. [This is another lengthy article- My grandmother was an Abernathy of Giles Co TN. Ginny] H. Buchanan [female] died in Nevada Co Arkansas Oct 16, 1875. J.R. Buchanan died April 1, 1882 leaving widow Anna. Some grandchildren were; T.D. Buchanan was 43 years at death W. P. Buchanan was 38 years J. R. Buchanan was 35 years C. C. Buchanan was 34 years Ann E. Smith of Lincoln Co C.C. Buchanan and Mary E. Brown moved to Eratah Co TX. [grandchildren]
