Warren (1796, Orange Co, NC, died 1884 in Giles Co, TN) and Rachel Hunt (1797, NC, died 1885, Giles Co, TN) John & Rachel's third child was James Allison Warren (b. 1822, NC, d. 1894, Giles Co., TN) married (1) Sarah H. Cantrell (b. 1822, KY, d. 1875) James married (2) Martha Mankins (b. 1854, AL, died 1898) Martha Jane Warren was first child of James A. and Sarah. Martha Jan(b. 1842, Giles Co, TN, d. 1918, Giles Co, TN). She married Francis Marion Shelton on May 18, 1859. F.M. (b. 1837, Giles Co, TN, d. 1905, Giles Co, TN.) Their first child was Mary Ann Shelton, (b. 1877, Lawrence Co, TN -Gum Springs, d. 1962, Lawrence Co, TN) M. A. S. married William Lewis Whitaker, 1895, son of William Whitaker and Eodius Thomas. William L. Whitaker, (b. 1874, Lauderdale Co, AL, d. 1963, Lawrence Co.
