It has long been my belief that my White/Wilkerson/Warren families from Lincoln Co TN and Giles Co TN are of the lines but I have not been able to connect them to fit everyone's mindset. It seems rare to me that these three families all originated from NC to Lincoln Co TN first and then spread to Giles Co abt the time of the Civil War. Here is my case. Take pot shots at me, everyone. Wm was 58 years old when their first child together was born, Martha White born 1814 Stokes Co NC- that used to be Rowan Co. Martha married Samuel C. Miles Mar 26, 1840 LCT. There were probably other children located around him from his unknown to me , first wife, Mary ___ who died before 1813, probably in Rowan/Stokes Co NC. Edith Chapman White has to be a child of William White Jr and 1st wife, Mary ___. Edith's daughter, Nancy, lived next door to William White Jr's son, James Franklin. Edith married James Tucker. They named a son, William White Tucker. James Tucker and Edith Chapman White's daughter, Nancy Ballentine Tucker born Sept 15, 1820 LCT married Gabriel M. Pylant. They named a son William White Pylant b Jan 26, 1856 MO. William White Jr and Elizabeth ____'s son, Carr Bailey White ,was born Jan 18, 1818, Stokes Co TN per his Giles Co TN obit. Jackson. They lived next door to her mother, Isabel in 1860 Giles Co TN census as a widow. William and Elizabeth White's son, Crawford Lafayette White born May 10, 1857 LCT, Dec 23, 1877 Giles Co TN, married M. Elizabeth Williams who died aft 1891, when she was mentioned in her father in law's estate settlement, as living in Adamsville, McNairy Co TN. Children; 1. Martha C. md Frank Moore 2. Willie 3. Crawford Lafayette Jr. md Nov 6, 1883 Giles Co to Mary Haskins. William R. Warren b ca 1797 TN died 1835 LCT, [possible son of John Warren Jr and Anne Nancy Bradford??????] married Sarah Polk b ca 1797 NC. Children; 1. Robert b 1816, died aft 1850 LCT md Aug 30, 1842 Temperance Wilkerson- my other line 2. Martha b May 26, 1818, d Feb 13, 1857 LCT md Feb 18, 1836 Carr Bailey White, my line 3. Peter b 1822 4. Sarah b 1824 md Feb 5, 1838 LCT William Polk. They were living with her mother, Sarah ___ Warren in 1850 LCT census. 5. Samuel b 1827 6. Elizabeth b ca 1828 7. James b ca 1828 8. Mary b ca 1830 9. Nancy b ca 1831 10. William R. Jr. As you can see, I need lots of help with these children. I do not know of a William Warren who married Sarah Wilkerson and would like to know more about this family if true. I would be grateful for any help or clues from LCT researchers.
