He married 2nd Ann Bailey, widow of James. They had no children together but he assumed guardianship of her children by James Bailey and raised them as his own. His son, John,married one of James and Ann Bailey's children, Ann Bailey. Children by William White Sr and Mary; 1. Elizabeth b ca 1754 Fauquier Co VA md Feb. 28, 1786 James Bailey, different one than deceased one above. 2. Jemima/Mima md Jan 10, 1791 Fauq. Co VA to George Greene Waddell 3. John White, Rev War soldier, md Ann Bailey, above mentioned. 4. William White Jr. [ our direct line] Rev War soldier S 1735 VA pension number, stated in his pension papers that he left VA at the close of RW and relocated to Rowan Co NC , part that became Stokes Co and lived there for 30 years. He must have had a first wife and children but I have not located them. He married 2nd Elizabeth ___ b 1775 NC. She was 20 years younger than he. He was age 58 when their first child together was born in 1814 NC. Elizabeth is our direct line.William live in NC when his father died but appeared in court at Fauquier Co VA several times during 1804 to 1818 while will was contested. 5.
