Any Poteet researchers out there know this man? T. R. Pooteet (the T could be something else.) I received Oliver Appleton's pension from the Civil War. Oliver was in Company B, 32nd Tennessee. He was living at Mansfield, Tarrant Co., Texas when he applied for his pension. T. R. Pooteet stated in the appliciation he was a private in the same command with Oliver Appleton. The pension was applied for Aug. 30, 1913. Thought this might help someone researching the Poteet family. Oliver Appleton was born 4 Oct 1843 to Abraham Marshall Appleton and Mary Hortensey Parr. Oliver died 1 Sept 1926, he married Arabella M. Hammonds (24 Aug 1848 - 24 Aug 1929) on 20 Feb 1868 in Giles County, TN. Sue Davis
