Hi Folks, 1999 was my second year as Giles County Coordinator. Our site keep growing by leaps and bounds. Two years ago, there was about 2.5 mb's of data stored. Today there is ten times that amount. A tribute to all of you who have made so many contributions to help make our county I believe to be the best in the state. Here are a few numbers to show our size: Number of visitors (20 months) = 38400 Average number of visitors per day = 62 mail list subscribers = 424 Total data files = 1235 Total photo images = 137 Total disk space used = 27.3 mb Number of updates this year = 83 Total number of queries = 1127 Total number of surnames registered = 607 My goals for the upcoming year are: To continue to solicit and encourage people to contribute more items. To complete the transcription of the 1850 Census To improve the accuracy of the Search Engine function If anyone has any other ideas as to improve our site, don't hesitate to send them to me.
