HI, I am new to your list but I am looking for information on my ggggrandfather Joel Foster he was born in Virginia in 1797. Was in Tennessee between 1820 and 1835. There is a Joel Foster on the 1830 census of Giles Co. page 89. He is on the Giles Tn index for 1832 ? it doesn't say if it is a state census or if it might be a tax record. I know it is asking a lot but I wonder if anyone has access to the 1830 census that might look it up for me I realize it won't have much info but maybe enough that I can tell if it is him or not.
