I am interested in the Porters from Giles County. My main reference is William Henry Clay Porter. He was born in Giles County in Apr 22 1848. His father was William Sidney Sanford Porter, born Jan 29 1822 in Tennessee. In 1843, W.S.S was living in McMinn County. In Nov 6 1847 W. S. S. joined the military (Pvt, Co.
