I have the family tree from Asa down through his son Thomas to myself via verbal and written family history details. I am stuck on Asa and Rebecca. Also, am looking for information about Thomas' wife Elizabeth Kendrick and her family. She is from SC, full blood Cherokee. If you have information, I would be interested. Not sure which Asa this belongs to as there were two. "Asa Moore was in the War of 1812. He lived in Giles Co., TN. He was ordered to pay to Ritta Rea for maintenance of a "bastard" child which he begot on her body, $20.00 first year, and $15.00 for two years for a total of $50.00. (Giles County Court 1816 State vs Asa Moore." Ordered Samuel AVETT be appointed overseer of road from Camp Branch to Robert GORDON's and that hands of Thomas AIKIN, John AKIN, John ROBERTS, Moses EVETTS, James Mc CULLOCK, Robert MC CULLOCK, David MC CULLOCK and Jeremiah GALASPIE, Nicholas GRIGGS, John CHAPMAN, Tho. CHAPMAN, Benjamin CHAPMAN, Jeptha MOORE, Asa MOORE and French MOORE and Asa MOORE and all the hands on W. T. Lewis' Quarter Plantation work thereon under his direction. GI Cty. Ct. Min.. I've seen a trail that our Asa may have gone to Tx after m. to Matha Jane Brown 6/17/1861 Webster Co, son Incabo Moore. He may have died 1/31/1862 Port Caddix, Tx. I haven't found any documents to verify yet. Story would make sense as his daughter Matilda married Seaborn Stiles and moved to Tx. Also, I can place Jeptha in TX. at that time.
