Kincaid could be the same person as "Polly" Stubblefield [My GGreatgrandfather Absolom Stubblefield's oldest sister] I went to the Kincaid message board archives & did a search for Stubblefield & read the results of that search, which was about 30 messages from 1998 to 2005. In writing this, it just occurred to me that I should have searched the other spellings of Kincaid. Here is part of one of the archived postings: WILLIAM J. KINCAID/KINGCADE m: MARY STUBBLEFIELD Dec. 5 or 12, 1847 Wilson County, TN. He also married Alice ? and Susan [Usher?] He died before May 22,1875 Ketesville, Chariton Co., MO where he is buried. He was a Farmer. Children by Mary: (1)Martha A. Kincaid/Kingcade b. 1848 TN, IL, or KS m: Jan. 10, 1866 Palmyra Township,Douglas,KS (to) Thomas Burgoon died March 29, 1928 KC, KS. (2)James Henry Kingcade b: 1850 Stockton, CA (3)Martina Kingcade b: Abt. 1856 Children by Alice: (3)Cicely "Emma" Jane Kingcade b: bef. 1865 (4)Jacob Franklin Kingcade b: Sept. 10, 1865 m: Jan 1, 1890 Cass Co. MO (to)Lucinda May Cordell Children by Susan L.: (5)Mary Kingcade b: Apr. 23, 1868 d: Aug. 25, 1872 buried Keytesville Cemetery, Chariton Co., MO 8888888888888888888888888 Martha was the oldest child of that marriage and she is listed here as: m: Jan. 10, 1866 Palmyra Township,Douglas,KS (to) Thomas Burgoon I suggest that you search the archives of the different message boards that might have information for you to use in your search. Notice that in this information the name is spelled Kingcade. Good luck
