I'm sending this message out to several lists that I'm on so I apologize if you receive this more than once. I have a photo I hope someone out there can help me with. The uniqueness of this particular photo was that it wasn't on any type of paper. The photo had been placed on metal, that appeared to be tin, but the face containing the photo appeared to be almost ceramic in nature. The young girl was born May 01, 1897 in Lowndes Co., Alabama and I estimate her age to be from 5-7 years old, making the photo an early turn of the century. If anyone out there has ever seen something like this before and knows the name of the technique please fill me in on it.
