I am looking for information on John Rutledge who enlisted at Lynnville, Tn on Nov. 1, 1862, sworn in by Capt. Wood. According to a microfilm record, he was in Co. I, 53 Tennessee Inf. as a private and the card no. is listed as 50151832. He was approximately 16 yrs. old when he enlisted and was apparently killed during the war. Is it possible to find where and when he died? Sandra
