    3. It is POSSIBLE but unlikely that you can find details of his death. The Confederate Army, particularly the Army of Tennessee, was notoroiusly poor at record keepng, and even some of those which were kept were destroyed during and in the immediate aftermath of the war. Nevertheless, there is a microfilm, the number of which I don't have, which is available from the National Archives, which has in it all known Confederate casualty lists. It is organized by casualty lists from each battle. There is no index, and it is pretty long. If there's a chance, though, of finding him, that might be the way. To narrow down your search, read a unit history of his particular regiment, and find out the battles they were involved in. Then, check the microfilm, beginning with casualty lists from those battles. You can probably identify the microfilm number by searching the National Archives website, and you can order a copy through your local library through interlibrary loan.
