Another note I finally figured out: Betty McWilliams d/o Maria Hawkins Vance and Ashbury Stone McWilliams m. Tub Gordon. Anyone know of any Gordon's called "Tub"? Also one of my Vance girls married a Scruggs and I don't know his first name but they had children : Annie who married a Griggs; Bess; Todd; Will; Presley And did I mention the notation about Bryson, TN and Thorton, Crutcher and Hill? Susan Melinda Vance (b. 1822) m. Robert Crutcher from VA. They moved to Henrietta, TX and died there. James Vance b. 1786 m. Nancy Hill b. ca 1786 in SC. Know nothing about the HILL family. James and Nancy are buried there in Giles Co. TN. Anyone with Hill's? But the Thorton is new to me. Anyone know anything about any of this? Thank you everyone for all the great info! Vicki Shaffer
