Vicki, Minor Hill was named for a Miner family that lived at the top of the hill. After the Miners moved away and their land was sold, the land would be called Miner land, plus it being on a hill, the community became Minor Hill. Before this, a Nail man lived on the hill and it was called Nail Hill. The Booth Chapel Cemetery, still in the 4th District below Minor Hill has several Moore's buried in it. One of the Moore's buried there is William Tipton Moore (1836-1911) ahe married 1. Sarah Bell Gilmore, 2. Mary Hedgepath. Could the Sally you are looking for be Sarah?
