This first wife was Mary ______ (1831 - _____) . His second wife was Elizabeth Crowder (1835 - _______) , his third wife, Sirenia Garner (Apr. 1840 - _____) were married in 1874. His fourth wife was Salena Mason Crabb (19 Apr. 1840 - 8 Nov. 1912). They lived near Five Points, Tennessee in a community known at that time as Moccasin. His children were: 1) Mahala Jane Cox (July 1850 – before 1860). 2) James Nathan Cox (June 1851 - _______) married Virginia Caldonia _______. Their children were: Mary E. Cox (died young), William Henry Cox, Richard Augustus Cox (Lawrence Co., TN) , Lillie A. Cox, Grover C. Cox, Bettie J. Cox and Myrtle I. Cox. 3) Jesse T. Cox (1853 - _______) married Martha J. _______ and their children were: Thomas H. Cox, George W. Cox and Laura Cox. 4) William Marion Cox (9 Apr. 1858 - 4 Sept. 1913) married first Sarah Jane _______ and had his first child, Mary Ellen Cox. He married second Emma Staggs and had: Ernest James Monroe Cox (Lawrence Co., TN) , Samuel Gilford Cox, Ettie Cox, Guy Cox, John H. Cox, Clint C. Cox, William Junas Cox. Later on he married Naoma Ruth Freeman and had: Seina Cox (died young), Salina Elizabeth Cox (Mrs. Ferguson), Mattie Lue Cox (Mrs. Frank Walker), Bessie Mae Cox (Mrs. Bashor of Ohio), Noah Patterson Cox (Youngstown, OH), Lousia A. Cox (Mrs. France MacMahan), Cora Cox (died young) and Ora Cox (son, Five Points, TN). 5) Henry Cox (1861 - _______). 6) Louisa Cox (18 Aug. 1862 - 13 Feb. 1946) had one son by Bill Powell named: Caleb Gaines Cox (Five Points, Tennessee) . 7) William J. Cox (Dec. 1868 - _______) married Lousia _______ and in 1900 were living in Lawrence Co., Tennessee. Their children were: Walter Cox, Elsie R. Cox and Sidney A. Cox. 8) Charlie Hearn Cox (15 Feb. 1875 - _______) married Nancy Erne Fruman and lived in Five Points, Tennessee. Their children were: Willie C. Cox (infant), Frank Boyd Cox (infant), Floyd C. Cox (Five Points, TN), Nettie S. Cox (Mrs. Robert Johnson of Lexington, AL), Floyd Cox (died young), Aubry Cox (Mrs. Gordon Pesnell) and Clara Cox (died young). 9) Nola S. L. Cox (_______ 1878 - ______) married first a Cattrell then Cecil Hammonds. They lived in Five Points, Tennessee. She had two children by Mr. Cattrell but they died before 1910, then the last two by Mr. Hammonds: unknown, unknown, William Hammonds and Carl Hammonds. 10) Archie N. Cox (6 May 1882 - 20 Nov. 1960) married Alice B. _______ and lived in Five Points, Tennessee. Their children were: Beulah B. Cox, Flourney F. Cox, Garland G. Cox, Charlie C. Cox, Nola Cox, Malan M. Cox, Mary M. Cox and Opel Cox.
