Ginny K Buckner Abernathy [ 1759 Bristol Parish, Brunswick Co VA- 1850 Giles Co TN, and wife, Hulda Rivers 1755-1835 Giles Co are in my Abernathy line. Their son, John Rivers Abernathy 1788 Lincoln Co NC- 1844 Old Fellows Hall, Giles Co TN, married Cynthia Boone 1818 Giles Co TN. John and Cynthia had these two sons plus more children; Wyatt Harper b 1822 Lincoln Co NC, died 1901 Giles Co md Elizabeth Lane William Thomas b 1834 Lin Co NC, d 1862 Giles Co md Elizabeth Franklin. John had several children. All were born in Lincoln Co NC and moved with him to Marshal Co MS and some winded up in TX. Two sons remained with John and Cynthia- Wyatt and William Thomas. I have a first cousin living now in Florence AL , Reba Estelle White b May 20, 1919 Giles Co dau of Bonnie Edward [Bunk] White and wife Dora Ethel Johnston. Reba married `are Alton Williams b ca 1919 died Sept 25, 1939 Florence, AL. They had 3 ch; 1. Joyce Nell Williams b Apr 7, 1943 md Ralph May, prob very near Florence, AL. I believe Joyce lives in Sheffield or Muscle Shoals AL now. Robert Armstrong Hewitt came from SC to Giles Co and left a large family. There was a lady Governor named Hewitt not long ago. Absolem b Albemarle Co VA, died near Pauline, Union Co SC. Samuel wrote his will Aug 29, 1797 in Spartanburg, SC and it was probated Feb 9, 1810. He served in both Bearden and Roebucks Regiments in Spartanburg, SC and Union Co SC. He was a surveyor after the war. He married 1st Elizabeth in Albemarle Co VA Parish Register of Surry and Sussex Co VA. [Backwater region]. Had child Levi b Jan 20,1738 and dau Mary b Oct 21, 1741. Sam and Agnes also had daughter; Nazareth Lancaster b Spartanburg, SC, died prob Giles Co TN married Richard Hewitt Sr b 1788 Spartanburg, SC, d Giles Co TN. Son of John Hewitt and Elender. Children. William F., Richard Jr, John, Marcus S. Martha, Mary A. In my own White line; James [Bud] Monroe White born in Lincoln Co TN, buried at Minor Hill Cemetery, Giles Co with most of his family.
