    1. RE: [TNGILES] Rogers/Rodgers
    2. I have two marriages for Rogers/Rodger in my database. They are: Mary Rodger who married Samuel Houston Dunnavant. They had 6 children, one of whom was MayDay Dunnavant. MayDay - that's the spelling used on her tombstone - married George Hastings. None of the Dunnavant or Hastings databases I've seen have much information on George and MayDay. Tracking George and MayDay's descendants has not been easy; but, I've managed to find some of them. MayDay and George are buried in the Trinity Cemetery at Wilmer, Dallas Co., TX. They had four children. I've been told that for reasons long forgotten, George and MayDay were estranged from their daughter Lorene Evelyn Hastings. George and MayDay's children scattered. Most of their grandchildren never met their Hastings cousins and know very little about George and MayDay. The second connection to the Rodgers family is through Bill Rodgers who married Grace Virginia Hastings. I have met and interviewed members of this family. One of their descendants married a woman whose family also descended from a Hastings-Dunnavant marriage. Here's Bill's obit. The Pulaski Citizen, May 29, 1990 BILL RODGERS Mr. Bill Rodgers, 80, of Elkton, died Tuesday, May 22, 1990, at Hillside Hospital.
