My husband's ancestor David Minitree is thought to have migrated to Giles County TN at the time other families migrated. The library in Pulaski, Giles County TN, has a book that names some of these families, however, our Minitree (now spelled Minatra) is not one of them. My apologies to all because I don't know the name of the book, nor the author. I'll be watching this mail list for further references on this subject. I have found that several of these lines married into families from Brunswick County, VA, their northern neighbor across the state line. In compiling a list of families who were possibly neighbors in NC and Giles, I have come up with a list of possibilities. Could someone help me confirm some of these relationships? I would especially appreciate notification by those lines with a connection to Cedar Rock township along Peachtree Creek near Louisburg. Some of these families had a close relationship with John King, known as the father of NC Methodism. Definites Maybes May Webb? Boon Gilliam? Lancaster Ezell? Abernathy Houze? Has a similar list of Giles families from Brunswick County been assembled? Thanks, Pat Touw ______________________________
