Information from the 1850 Hopkins County Texas census shows Edward born in Alabama @1810, it shows Alcey being born in TN @1814. These dates may have been reveresed also. The Texas 1850 census shows that the couples children were born in TN. There were several marriages between Longs and Spradlings of Alabama. The family moved around the Hill Country. My branch of the family settled in the Truce Texas area of Jack county. Appreciate any help and will share information. Erny Long New Mexico
