Father Houston b. 1843, Mother Mary J. b. 1846, Ann M. b. 1858, Manerva b. 1861, Elias b. 1864, Sally b. 1865, Mary J. b. 1966, Infant age 2/12. The family is also listed in 1880 Giles Co. The father is not there and neither are the older children. The children listed are Mary J. and the infant in 1870 is William Henry. The census was very blurry. There are three other children age 7, 4 and 1. This is all that I found. I could not find Elias in 1880. The 1870 census they were in the Campbellsville are of Giles County. Armstrong Co PA and saw many of above grave sites. Robert Parks and wife, Jane Bratton Parks each have a 6 foot slab over their graves. Roberts is half off. Each are engraved with names and date and a verse. The History of Armstrong Co PA said Robert Parks moved to Armstrong Co PA in 1814 in the Kiskiminetas Valley, leaving his three brothers. Two of them settled in "Kentuck" and the other settling in Indiana or Illinois. Robert brought his 6 children and their entire earthly possessions in a covered wagon drawn by one horse. The family were members of the Presbyterian Church, strong Democrats, and active in their community. There are descendants of the above families in Giles Co TN, and KY that I know of. They had several children Wick,(my father)Willie,Wesley,Carl,Herbert,Alice,Eliza,Susie. Dock was b1874 d1927 Lydia b 1884 d 1921. They lived at Mt.Hermon, Ky. until Lydia's passing,then the children were sent to different orphanges. I don't know why they did not stay with Dock until his passing 1927. In the 1850 census where Elizbeth is a 16 year old female in the R. W. Cannon household, there is an 83 year old female, Sarah Hughes. This is the wife, Elizabeth's, mother and the 16 year old's grandmother. The combination of Sarah Elizabeth which you cited appears to fit very well. On that same 1850 census sheet is a Ruben Kenady household with a wife named Catherine who is also a daughter to the 83 year old Sarah Hughes. I have not tried to research the 16 year old Elizabeth but your theory sure seems to fit. My gggrandfather, John H.
