I believe that William North married a Lurana (alternate name: Lorana, Luvana, Lorena) Perry and they had two children together that I'm aware of --- William and Thomas. I'm trying to find out if Lurana Perry North may have died in Giles County, Tennesse and been buried there about 1860? Thanks ahead of time for any help anyone can provide. Hello List, Evelyn /Elmira Elizabeth Smith was the daughter of a male Smith (possibly John K. Smith) born about 1800 who died between 1840 and 1850. On the 1850 Giles County, Tennessee census Liticia (born about 1800; unknown maiden name) Smith is listed with some of her children. Her husband had died. The Smith children listed were: Caroline/Carline (born about 1828), Catherine (born about 1833), William B. (born about 1835), John H. (born about 1838) and Daniel W. (born about 1839). Liticia’s daughter, Zarrutha/Zurritha Smith, married Leonard Stafford, son of Merrill and Nicey (unknown maiden name) Stafford. Liticia’s daughter, Evelyn/Elmira Elizabeth Smith, married John N. (W. or H.) Pillow, son of Willis Pillow and an unknown wife. Leonard and Zarrutha (Smith) Stafford and John and Evelyn/Elmira (Smith) Pillow are listed on the 1850 census in households separate from their mother, Liticia Smith, and younger siblings. Does anyone have ANY information on these Smith ancestors??? Marriages? Death dates or burial places? Or does anyone have these SMITHs in their research?? **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. I have that James H. Partain married Lou Retha Burns 31 Mar 1902 in Giles County, TN. My mother-in-law went to the courthouse and found that record years ago. Grace --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
Hello List, Charles H. Partin lived in Giles, Lincoln and Marshall Counties, TN during his lifetime. Some other close Partin family members were in Moore County. The children of Charles H. Partin were of age to be married in the 1870s, 1880s, 1890s or perhaps even after 1900. Are there any Lincoln County marriage records for Nancy M. Partin, Mary A. Partin, James H. Partin (perhaps two marriages) or Tabitha E. Partin? Parton, Partain, Pardon, Parden are some other spellings for Partin. Thanks for any help on this. Joy **************Start the year off right. Hi Ginny, Thank you for the information. Very helpful! Most of the information I have came from MILDRED CAST. Sarah Jane Click's maiden name was HOLLOWAY. This came from her first husband's war record. He was John W. Fine. After John died in the war, Sarah Jane married James Gray Click. James had many children before marrying Sarah but only two with Sarah before she died in about 1878. The first child was John, born in about 1868. The other child (female) was born in about 1872. Her name was Malinda. She is listed with John Gray Click in the 1880 census. I think the SOPHIE Holloway you have listed may be SYTHA?, Sarah Jane's second child with John W. Fine. She was born in about 1864. I think a lot of the information you shared is correct but some may be wrong due to misinterpretation. Thank You. Don On 1/24/08, Virginia L.
